A toast to a year in action.

One year ago today, a magnificent blog by the name of "Bite My Tongue for No One", spoken with a refreshing and opinionated voice, was born. In its origin it was a way for the public to view another perspective on the Baltimore Ravens and hip hop music. Today, 437 posts later, this online writting log is thriving with the same goals and perspectives.

On November 2, 2009, the Baltimore Ravens were preparing for an undefeated Denver Broncos team that boasted a solid defense and a somewhat balanced offense. Needless to say, the Ravens defeated the Broncos that weekend handing Denver their season's first loss simultaneously.

Not to much has changed on the Ravens squad since then besides: the addition of Anquan Boldin and TJ Houshmanzadeh to the receiving core, Ray Rice and Haloti Ngata both earning the label "Pro Bowl player" for their outstanding 2009 performances, Ed Reed missing a substantial amount of offseason and regular season time rendering Tom Zbikowski the starter at the free safety position for the first six weeks of the regular season and the introduction of the entire 2010 draft class to the Baltimore Ravens.

Then again I guess one could say a lot has changed but one could also say all of these events and more have been covered here. "Birds" doesn't miss a beat when it comes anything relevant to the Ravens success and disappointments.

The same could be said for the hip hop community that has witnessed the release of several successful hip hop albums/mixtapes this past year. Ludacris' Battle of the Sexes, Eminem's Recovery and Drake's Thank Me Later all had significant impact on the radioplay and the overall album sale of the ever-fluctuating genre.

I want to thank all of you who viewed the posts in the past and continue to check in whenever they can. This one year point is just a benchmark not the end.
