Most of the hip hop community was pleasantly surprised this weekend to find out rapper and producer Jay Electronica signed with Jay-Z's Roc Nation label; someone apparently not pleased was Diddy, worked side-by-side with Electronica, expressed his disapproval in the form of a cryptic tweet.
Diddy said, "D*mn it hurts in a whole other way when someone you felt mean really felt was your Friend, Betrays you. It hurts when Breathe"
Jay Electronica took a more direct approach in his response saying,"@iamdiddy you should be more clear than that too brother. betrayal is a serious allegation. real talk".
Beyond the public bickering, Jay Electronica has made a tactical move in his rap career siding with the likes of Jay-Z and J. Cole. Below is the official announcement of his signing along with the performance of "The Announcement":
