Who is the next running back up?

As we all know the Ravens have a tremendous running game and running backs Ray Rice and Willis Mcgahee are the two very talented players most responsible for the success. Leron McClain is extremely capable of toating the rock and getting the tough yards but the team wants to keep him at the fullback position. Besides these three pro bowl players, who is the next man up at the running back position?

Answer: Jalen Parmele
The third year special teams standout has shown everyone that he is capable of doing well at multiple positions.  In his first season the 5' 11'' 221 pounder came to the Ravens from the Miami Dolphins' practice squad. He had the opportunity to get his hand on just two carries at the end of the 2008 season vs. the Jaguars but burst through the middle for a 31 yard gain with one of those carries. Last year he did not have a big run on offense but impressed everyone with his potent kick return skills when Lardarius Webb got injured, his year end kick return stats were as such: nine returns for 283 yards (31.4 yards per return).

Because of his versatility, Parmele is most likely to be the third and final running back on the roster. He is affordable and is a willing contributor anytime he is called upon.
