This news comes almost simultaneously with that of the signing of rookie free agent Curtis Hawkins, former LSU standout. Harris was nothing more than an extra body on the roster and has essentially been replaced. Plus Fabian Washington seems to be making a steady recovery shedding the non-contact jersey a few days ago.
Update-2:27: Correction, Walt Harris has not been cut, he has been placed on the training camp Injured Reserve list (IR). His struggle with injury has made it hard for him to practice so he will be given time to properly prepare his body for game action.
