What if... the Ravens used the two tight end set

Imagine playing defense against the Baltimore Ravens and they line up with two tight ends and two receivers on the field. Anquan Boldin  and Derrick Mason are out wide and Todd Heap and Ed Dickson (or Dennis Pitta) are lined up on the outside of the offensive line. One the ball is snapped, who does the defense target? Who do you double team? Can you double team anyone?

I do not think you can double team one player in this situation unless you want to be burned by another. If a defense decides to pay extra attention to Mason and Boldin with a cover 2 formation, the tight ends will take full advantage of the middle that is open because the safeties are playing so far back.

Scenarios like this are what Baltimore Ravens' fans can look forward to if everything goes well in training camp. If major offensive contributors stay healthy, the offense will have a plethora of passing weapons from which to choose. The defense will be in a pick your poison position. In order for this figure of my imagination to occur, the offensive line will have to be very solid this season. Flacco will not be able to properly drop back and scan the field if he constantly has defensive players disrupting him in the pocket. Just something to think about.
