Steelers at Ravens

This Sunday night under the bright lights the whole nation will be watching the these two teams buckle up their chin-straps and clash. The 6-4 Pittsburgh Steelers will be coming to Baltimore to take on the Ravens.

The Steelers are the 5th rated passing team in the league averaging 268 passing yards/game and staring cornerback Fabian Washington was just put on IR. This is the biggest problem for the Ravens coming into this game. Harbaugh said that Washington's spot will be replaced by committee although it is widely speculated that Lardarius Webb will get his first start at the position. Whoever starts better be able to get on top of Santonio Holmes who has given the Ravens problem in the last couple of encounters between the two.

On offense, the two tackles for the Ravens handled Freeney and Mathis last week. This week they have a different challenge but they are up to it. James Harrison and LaMarr Woodley have combined for 15 sacks so far this year. If the O-line can provide a push for Ray Rice and protect Flacco in the pocket, the Ravens offense may be able to put up enough points to win.

Since their loss to the Bengals in week 5 the Ravens have been tied for first in the league in scoring defense by allowing just 15.2 points a game. Last week we saw the Ravens defense give Peyton Manning and co. a problem so I know this same defense is capable of tormenting Roethlisberger and the Steelers offense.

The Ravens only win if the offense can be more productive than they have been in the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately it does not turn around in this game.

Steelers 17 Ravens 10.
