Drake sets official album release date

Drake has finally decided on the release date for his debut project "Thank Me Later". The highly anticipated album is supposed to hit stores on May 25.

I say it's about time. We will have to see what kind of momentum he builds up between now and the week of his album release. I think Drake has let his fire burn out. He will sell records but it will not be as many as he would have six months ago.

Nicki Minaj feat Sean Garrett- Massive Attack

Here is the single from Nicki Minaj's untitled new project. I am not a fan of it but it will get some spins because we have been waiting for an official Minaj single. I am already anticipating her next single because this does not satisify my itch.

Link is above.

Usher feat. Nicki Minaj- Lil' Freak (Official video)

Here is the long anticipated official video for Usher's hot single "Lil' Freak". Once again we get to see Nicki Minaj in the feature role of a music video. Nicki Minaj and the women are looking good (had to make sure I seperated the two). Usher has plenty of freaks to choose from in this one!

Erykah Badu- Window Seat

Very creative song and video by Erykah Badu. She said that the moment her attire reached a "bare" minimum she felt so vulnerable but liberated. This video has been making it rounds on the internet and if finally making a stop here.

Diggy- Made you look (freestyle)

Diggy - Made you look Freestyle (Flow Stoopid) from Diggy Simmons on Vimeo.

This a shockingly dope freestyle by Diggy Simmons (Rev Run's son). I don't know what label he is on but he could get major attention because he can actually rap really well for an artist his age. It is just really weird to hear his voice so deep after watching almost every episode of Run's House where we pretty much watched him grow up. Well he is no longer "Little Diggy" he is now "Diggy the lyricist" and this video is indisputable evidence of this. Watch and enjoy!

Should we get excited about Bret Hart vs Vince Mcmahon?

The biggest news to hit the wrestling world last December was Bret Hart signing a contract to return to the WWE. It gave the WWE momentum in the Monday night battle between Raw and TNA Impact.

Now we are a week away from Wrestlemania and one of the biggest headline matches is Bret Hart vs Vince Mcmahon. The idea is that Bret goes into the match looking to avenge himself after what Mcmahon has done over the past few months and what he did years ago when he screwed Bret out of a win versus Shawn Michaels at Survivor Series.

The build-up would make for an exciting match if we were talking about two well conditioned wrestlers that are prepared to go to almost any limit to provide the fans with a spectacular match. Well the reality is... we're not.

Bret had to step away from wrestling "forever" because of a concussion he suffered at the hands of Goldberg over ten years ago. He is much older now and probably lost most of what he once had in the ring. Is he going to be ready to jump off of a ladder onto a Vince Mcmahon that lies belowing waiting on a table with a trashcan over his body? Heck no.

I don't think I need to go into a whole lot of detail about why Vince Mcmahon will not deliver a great wrestling performance. Here is a little hint, HE'S NOT A WRESTLER!

The return of Bret Hart is the best part of this match. We have already experienced the climax of this storyline. So don't go into this one with overwhelming expectations because they will not be met.

I expect to see alot of punching, kicking and poor grappling in this match. I do not expect to see a picturesque Wreslemania moments that we got from Mcmahon's last Wrestlemania match vs Shawn Michaels.

Drake - Shut it down featuring The-Dream

Wow. This is a great collabo and a good look for Drake. This song gives him a stab at the R&B sound and he kills it. The-Dream surprisingly complements Drake here. I wonder who wrote what since Drake says he doesn't use ghostwriters and The-Dream writes everything for everybody. The chorus has the signature sound of The-Dream so I think Drake to a backseat for that part.

This song is more intriguing than the first single on the album, "Over". "Thank Me Later" is shaping out to be quite impressive.

Ace Hood- Black

Ace Hood - Black | Audio | Rap Basement

I have been a fan of Ace Hood since Gutta. This is a pretty good cut from him. The heavy beat and his aggressive flow match well.

Lloyd Banks & Juelz Santana- Beamer, Benz or Bentley (Official Video)

It's finally here folks. The video for the hot New York hit that is blazing radio across the country right now. There is nothing unusual about it. Juelz acting like Juelz, Banks acting like Banks and Beanie Sigel looking horribly out of place. Same ole' same ole'.

Ravens and Mason agree to 2 year deal

Derrick Mason and the Ravens have reached a two year agreement in prinicple today. This means that Derrick Mason will be signed back to the Ravens very soon.

Great news for Purple City! Now we have some peace of mind knowing that Flacco will have numerous targets to look to this season. This signing is one of many offseason moves that has improved the offense and made the Ravens that much more suitable for a Super Bowl run.

Anquan Boldin on the left, Derrick Mason on the right, Dante Stallworth in the slot and Ray Rice in the back field will make preparing for this formidable offense difficult.

T-Pain's Freaknik: The musical

Ignorant but Hilarious musical by T-Pain. It features voice overs from a ton of hip hop and b-list black actors. The fact that T-Pain talks in auto tune for most of the time is funny enough for me. This debuted on adult swim on Sunday February 28. Watch and see for yourself.

Schife is taking strides toward new career heights

I took the liberty of listening to DJ Khaled's new album Victory today. The complete album do not appeal to me but some of the best songs of the album feature a chorus and instrumental from mainscene newcomer Schife.

Schife is a Palm Beach southerner who is just starting to add his own flavor to the hip hop mixing pot. The first time I heard anything from Schife was on "Loco wit the cake", single from Ace Hood's most recent release Ruthless. He did several tracks on that album and all of them rattle the pens on my desk when I listen to them. Listening to those sounds for the first time convinced me that Schife had the potential to be special.

He is most recently responsible for producing and delivering the chorus of street anthem "Put your hands Up" featuring Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Plies and himself. I can imagine that song being blasted through the windows of a million cars this spring. That song and "Ball" featuring Jim Jones, also featured on DJ Khaled's Victory, are prime examples of what Schife can bring to the table. Every beat he does sounds like a soundtrack to the day of a dirty-south hustler. They're grimy and bass heavy but catchy thanks to Schife's heavy distinctive voice.

Maybe not now but give it some time. You will be hearing more of Schife on more popular records pretty soon. He has taken the course very similar to that of the The Runners so far. He has aligned himself with Khaled and We the Best entertainment in a tactical way. I would not be surprised if we hear some of his music on the biggest upcoming street album of the year Young Jeezy's Thug Motivation's 103.

Best work so far: Jim Jones- Ball, Various Artists- Put your hands up and Ace Hood featuring Birdman- This ***** here

Jay-Z and J.Cole- A Star is Born live performance

This is Hov' and Cole working in cadence with the medley to create a masterful performance. You can tell Jay-Z really admires J. Cole's lyrics in that versus, he repeats almost every line.

RVD! RVD!

RVD returns to professional wrestling television after 3 years on the independent circuit.

A surprise appearance and victory by Rob Van Dam over Sting made the crowd in the Impact zone erupt tonight. His moniker as Mr. Monday Night made his return to TNA on the second of many TNA Impact episodes airing on Monday night seem logical.

Nice move TNA.

T.I- Im back

TI - Im Back | Audio | Rap Basement

First single from T.I since his return from the penitentary. The song itself puts T.I right back in the talk of the elite rappers out. The beat sounds like its produced by Lil Jon.

Ravens aiming to pick TE early?

It seems like the Ravens are slowly addressing all of their offseason needs. They have gotten two new receivers for Flacco to play with. They have attempted negotiation with CB Marlin Jackson even though he will probably not sign here because of his knee injury. Now that they have at least evaluated options for these two positions, what is the next blaring need for them? Tight end

Do not be surprised if the "best player on the board"in the first round for the Ravens is either a corner or a tight end. At the 25th pick in the draft some are predicting the Ravens will take Jermaine Gresham. This pick would make since. Todd Heap is getting older and there is absolutely no depth behind him. L.J Smith was supposed to make an impact but he vanished from the roster because of injury, exactly as many predicted, and will not be returing next season as a result.

Lil' Wayne featuring Eminem - Drop the World (official video)

Terrific video.

Did we solve the wide receiver equation?

The star wide reciever has landed in Baltimore. Are you happy now?

Anquan Boldin was traded from the Arizona Cardinals with a 5th round pick for 3rd and 4th round pick from Baltimore.

For those of you who do not know who Anquan Boldin is, he is a 6'1 214 pound, very physical wide receiver who makes the tough catches down the middle and a lot of yards after the catch. He is 29 years old so he may be on his way out of the prime of his career although his stats will argue otherwise. He has posted 1000 yards receiving in each of the last two seasons. One of his major weaknesses is derived from his strength. Because of his physical nature of play, he runs into injury often. Boldin has not started in all 16 games of a season since his rookie year of 2003.

Big Picture

Now that we have the big physical receiver with Boldin and the speedy reciever in Stallworth, how will our passing game change in 2010? In order for these two to make an impact they must stay healthy something these two have struggled with in their past. The ideal situation would have Stallworth stretch the field while Boldin works the middle of the field. The acquisition of these two players will also affect how much we run the ball especially if Derrick Mason is resigned. Then Baltimore will have two recievers with at least in 1000 yards last season. Whoever starts at running back next season(there is a chance Willis Mcgahee starts) will not have as many opportunities to run as they did in 2008.

Thanks Ozzie and co. I am glad you recognized that this offense needed another talent at wide receiver besides Derrick Mason. Hopefully Mason comes back but if he doesn't we won't be in horrible shape.

Drake- Over (First official single from album)

Drake - Over (CDQ) | Audio | Rap Basement

Finally the world gets to hear a preview of what Drake is preparing to give to the world in his next album. The question is: Is this great or is his career 'over'? This song is not the best thing Drake has ever done and it will not be bigger than "Best I ever had" but it will get spins because he's Drake.

Much of the rap world does not seem too impressed. They must have had their expectations too high. I think the song is pretty good but I have to hear more songs from the album before I even think of buying it.

Link to song above.

B.o.B featurng T-Pain- Trunk Band

http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/audio/id.10223/title.bob-f-t-pain-trunk-band

This song has an amazing beat and it's good to hear T-Pain work with a TALENTED artist like B.o.B.

Twista featuring Lil Boosie- Fire

Twista and Boosie get fyyyyeeed up on this one. I like the video because the animations are very well done.

Young Money- Roger That (Official Video)

Young Money is amongst the hottest in rap right now. Once again Nicki Minaj looked like... Nicki Minaj. Tyga always seems a little in over his head. He got killed by Wayne and Minaj.
